Linx Search Now In Your Favorite Browser!

I've added a small plug in that you can add to Firefox / IE7, basically it ads direct linx search functionality from your browser.

Dell XPS M1730 Speculations True?

I'm really interested in this new piece of hardware so as a geek I went to dell.com to see if there are any updates and this is what I found.

I think this confirms that there is new XPS releasing any time soon.

The "Remember Me" feature will now remember you even if you closed your browser ;)
Also, I've added Time Zones to linx so the date and time of a submitted link/comment will now reflect your specific time zone.
To edit your time zone just go to manage profile and select your zone "By default is GMT+1".

Its finally online! You can now add friends / favorite submitters to your friends list.

To add friends just go to their profile and click the "Add To Friends Button" or by going to your profile and add friends by user name.

My iPod Linux Experience

Well Well Well, I got an iPod Nano about 3 weeks ago and lately I got really curious about the ipodlinux so today I found some time to try it out, well first of all I would like to thank apple for the ipod recovery tool.. man.. if it wasn't for that almighty recovery tool (all hail the apple ipod recovery tool) I would have probably killed myself. :P

So here is a small guide to install ipodlinux on the ipod nano its really really easy if you follow these steps, I will first tell you what you need to do and if something wrong happens.. like it did to me I will explain to you how to deal with them.

First download iPodLinux From here
Run the exe and Install it like it says on the read me file (just.. next next next finish heh)
now u just have to safely disconnect your ipod and run it by pressing the Menu Button and the Center Button together for about 7 seconds.

now.. for all of you who like me they got something wrong...

This version iPod Linux does not work for the nano (if you have an ipod nano (i know it says that it works only on 4G ipods but I couldn't found another way to install it so I tried that one.. ok.. you can now all hit me))

If your ipod shows this error message the ipod recovery tool will not let you restore and this error message is shown... to restore it go to computer management right click my computer and select manage then go to disk management.. right click the ipod partition and delete it then right click again and create a partition again with the same drive letter,
if you don't the recovery tool will display you this error.

Goto my computer right click the ipod drive and click eject.
It should reconnect itself to the computer.

do the recovery and it should all work well.. if you get the error message that your ipod is locked by something you need to unplug it form the computer (notice that there is no screenshot attached.. Ok.. I was starting to get worried) so disconnect your ipod press the center + play/pause button and it will display that the drive has been unlocked (i discovered that by incident by the way) reconnect your ipod and recover it! then follow the steps I posted above to install the ipodlinux on the ipod nano!

Heh long time since the last post! Well I’ve been busy as hell and now getting used to my “new” life, when I just studied I usually spend the whole night coding cool stuff/playing mmo's or partying… good times. So! We (Syntax Rebels) took part in an easter competition hosted by caimen.be we came 23, I have to say I am a little disappointed by the result it’s a shame that one of the judges didn’t vote for our game (and some others) but anyway.. you can download the game Easter Crisis Here. At the moment I am testing a new game engine, its called Torque by Garage Games. It looks very powerful And I will sure post some demos that I made.

Windows Live (Beta)

Windows Live is a microsoft "portal" that enables you to check your mail, feeds, news and has a search box.... BUT you can also add gadgets like a todo list, games or you can even code your own and them put on the page!!! It is a very cool web page but needs some improvements.

I am Looking foreword to see the final result and hope soon they make it 100% compatible to firefox!

I was surfing the net and found this.. looks like its already available on p2p networks and newsgroups but as you wait for the official release you can download the .NET Framework 2.0 (final)

Ever wanted to try linux but you never did cos of the stuff involved; new partitions, dual boot, wasted hd space, Endless Installations etc etc.. Or you can Download Knoppix (a linux distribution) burn it on a cd and just boot your pc it will detect all your hardware make default settings plus you have all the tools you need to start and work with it.

I was searching the net and found this awesome Microsoft site
Microsoft Reader you can download loads of free ebooks from it some of them look very interesting, also today I've been working on Nifty Photo Publisher today fixed some small bugs and added a new feature that exports your gallery as HTML complete with page links and everything just select the number of columns and rows u want per page and nifty photo publisher will do the magic!! :)
